KOOL NEWCOMER TO NATIONAL RANKINGS AT NO. 7
The top of this week’s AQHARacing.com / Horseplayernow.com national Top 10 poll did not change, but Saturday’s $100,620 Bank of America Sam Houston Championship Challenge (G1) winner Kool Country Man made his seasonal debut in the rankings at No. 7. The 24-1 upsetter scored his first career stakes win and earned a 96 Speed Index despite a 20 mph headwind.
The poll continues to be paced by unanimous No. 1 Cold Cash 123, the reigning AQHA World Champion and winner of the Leo Stakes at Remington Park. The Top 5 is rounded out this week once again by Rylees Boy, El Aguila Real, Llano Teller and Kobe.
The first 2-year-old poll of 2012 is just two weeks away and will debut May 1.
